Howdy,
Building a 1380 engine at the moment.I had the block offset bored to accept 73.5mm pistons. With the head gasket on it overlaps slightly on the 3rd cylinder. From the face of the block to the piston tdc reads 0.035".Will this cause the gasket to fail?Is there any gaskets available to solve this problem?
Thanks,
Gerry

Im using a BK450 head gasket. The problem is the machine shop did not accurately offset the bore. When the gasket is placed on the face of the block it slightly overlaps the bore on the 3rd cylinder.I think in time this will cause the gasket to burn away and eventually cause head gasket failure.Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is any solution.
