bought this mini on 4 nov 2008 this is what i saw initialy looks fairly good dosnt it what you dont notice when your excited but still its ok for the money i suppose only £250.

done a lot of work already too excited about doing it forgot to take pictures
done both inner flitch panels both front floors
both scuttle ends
passenger side sill
drivers side inner sill
drivers side rear floor patch due to oversill over rotting sill
removed engine starting get it all started up only 998cc but should get some good power out of it

Looks like one of those pokey pokey screwdriver jobs where you cant stop poking till theres nothing left but dust in the air
(Note i've been there myself many times lol)
will be good to replace it all with lovely new metal

tired had some torag try break in next door came nocking on my front door at 4:30 in morn asking if his ball was in my back garden silly t**t
police got him hes on licence so going back to prison thats one for the police and joe public yeay

looking to get a few things this week need
passenger side top arm
the bolt that holds bottom arm on
want to get subframes finished and painted
then next week get some more mig wire and finish welding then big stuff starts
need to take doors to mini door company decide on frontend
what are peoples opinion is carbon fibre or fibreglass better

Carbon will be lighter but it's not structural so rigidity isn't such an issue. Diolen is the stuff they ought to be using in bumpable panels.

also phoned mini speed and they do carbon fibre front 2 peice for £270 so i think that is on the cards but maybe round nose one ahhhahhh i dont know which ones still got to get guys at minidoors to sort my doors out too would do them myself but it is something i realy dont think i could do right
got some stuff from halfords too today to help see if engine is going to be a runner should do just have to replace coil maybe and plugs had problems with my own wiring loom started smoking when i tried to start with emergency battery pack i definetly did somethin wrong engine turns over tho but no spark got a charger to charge the battery now tho so see what happens then
