I have had that on my round nose mini it was the windscreen seal, easier that you think to do.

New window seal, take the top dash rail off and check for rust, because if it's been like that for any amount of time you'll have a bit of rust. Do it now though, because otherwise what rust is there will get worse and worse until you have to have it replaced.

Wrapping the radio in a plastic bag will probably cause condensation or make it overheat?

Yes but the radio won't have any air and will overheat. It'd be better to leave it out altogether until you get your car sorted.

i agree the a series singing is nice but im bored very easily and drives me mad so then i go a lil faster and then i notice the problems i cant affoard to fix yet i think ill probs make a plastic casing and allow the base to still have acess to the air that way it wont overheat but the moral of the story is cars that are 24 leak like a tea bag lol
