I went with adrian flux but it wasnt with a mini you see then alot in the classic car mags aswell.
When i was looking i found that there isnt a cheap insurance for new drivers mine was £1500 for a 1.4 clio.

Adrian Flux were the best one I could find.

Were some £200-£300 cheaper than the rest. Mods that dont increase the bhp of the engine are free also.

Something to bare in mind is admirals multi car policy. Works if there are 2 or more cars at your home address. They insure young named drivers fully comp and start your no claims. Not sure how it works but we have got 4 cars on it, and the car with the lowest engine gets discount off the insurance price 3 years ago when i started driving i paid £900 fully comp on a 1.2 fiat punto. but it went up £50 when i passed my test because they said i was now on my own and didnt have anyone in watching me. (if that makes sense) which i can understand. Ive been driving 3 years and my mini costs me £300 per year and £550 for my fiat
