I want a new headunit, im not sure what I want just yet.

Ive decided that I want a dvd player in it now. But im not sure what to do.

I have 2 options available to me.

Buy a headunit that had DVD compatability and video out. and mount a screen somwhere else.
Or
Buy an all in one unit with a flip out screen.

I can only have a single DIN unit as that all my dash will allow.

Any recomendations? I want something aswell as cd's eg sd slot or AUX in.

And at least 2 pre outs, preferably one dedicated sub output.

I can't recommend a specific model, but don't buy a no-name special on Ebay. Stick to the big brands - and generally, the more you pay, the better you're going to get.

check out this site, good prices to be had.

http://www.caraudioc...735_p-23859.htm - this is not a bad unit, not sure of no. of pre-outs though, would have to phone them i think

http://www.caraudioc...l-av-_c-144.htm - this is the av section of the site, the Clarion VRX588RUSB has a usb port and pre-outs

good hunting matey, just dont look at halfords, over priced on all units and the ripspeed units are rubbish

Yeah I usualy only go big brands, I recently purchased a head unit from lidl, massive spec, all the features, but its gone wrong. Superb quality, but just no reliability. So im going for a better brand this time.

Pmsl @ SHENPIN  Bad luck that fella !

if it was me id stick to quality brands and look no further than Pioneer or Alpine, sometimes its better paying that bit extra rather than wishing you did a few weeks down the line !

Oh I seeeee. Thats £160 for the head unit is it?
IM tempted, especialy with a 12 month warranty.
Although im thinking, don't nearly all electronic items have a 12 month warranty?

Yes £160 that is for the Headunit, it plays Dvd,Cd,Mp3,Wma, it also has a Usb slot, ideal for playing music from a memory pen (especially in a mini as memory pens dont jump). It also have a built in Bluetooth handsfree kit for your phone, so you wont get pulled up for driving whilst on the phone. Yes the warranty is for 12 months like most electrical items. But some people dont warranty things at all, so i was just stating that there is a warranty. They are excellent units, i wouldnt have one myself if they were not good !!
