
Clutch Plate Thickness

Noticed loads of dust in bottom, so i stripped clutch and was wondering how thick the friction material sticks above the rivets??
Ive got about 1mm??

however, disregarding the above, if you have the clutch apart, for the cost of a new plate why bother putting an old one in ?

Personally I'd replace it, even though you can still see the groves in the plate, there is definite signs of wear... and the difference between the cost of a new plate and replacing it now and the time and effort later on having to replace the clutch when it does eventually fail is a no brainer IMO.

sorry for the hijack, just for info, how many miles has it?
Unfortunately mileage has very little to do with clutch plate wear....driving style is the more important factor...

yeah i no, i've heard that a verto clutch can lasts about 100k miles or more, is that true?
Don't see why not, unless someones been slipping the clutch or abusing it loads.
