But you will have to get it mot'd so should be road legal which one wiper is not as stated it dosent wipe enough of the screen there is a percentage it has to cover
Found this about wipers on MOT regulations.
Reasons for rejection (fail).
Wipers and Washers
a. A wiper or washer control missing or inaccessible to the driver
b. a wiper does not continue to operate automatically when switched on
c. a wiper installed for the use of the driver does not operate over an area of the windscreen large enough to give the driver an adequate view of the road (through the windscreen) to the left and right sides of the vehicle, as well as to the front.
2. A wiper blade insecure, missing, or in such a condition that it does not clear the windscreen effectively to give the driver an adequate view of the road (through the windscreen) to the left and right sides of the vehicle, as well as to the front.
3. The windscreen washers do not provide enough liquid to clear the windscreen in conjunction with the wiper(s)

when he showed the mot tester he said thats not allowed and my brother said it is so he asked him to call ministry of transport and they said as long as the window can be cleaned it can pass.
also u dont need head lights, if u dont drive the car at night they will give u a mot only for day time driving
might be a good idea and see what the ministry say about wipers and see if there is a way round it.

as for the if i get hit thing.. insurance would be invalid.. black n silver plates, wiper, 4 point harness with rotary buckle, 10 x 7 with stretched yoki's ... i think the wiper is the last thing they'll be bothered about!
