Problem Starting Up

Year: T reg

hii there i'm having problems with getting my mini to start,
it turns over, sparks and has petrol in.
just thinking what could be the problem?
i've changed spark plugs,leads, distributer cap and rotor arm inside, but yet still no go

any advice/help would be apreciated

Are the points opening properly?

i'm not to sure, if not how can i correct this?

you may want to get rid of your points and condensor, there are several kits on ebay for about £20. a electronic module goes in the same spot as the points, then the wires attach to the coil. 5 min installation. my mini has a standard electronic ignition, but i recently converted my mg midget to a electronic module system. the mg now runs very smoothly!

at least you can elliminate the points with a electronic system :wub:
