1.3 metro engine fitted

right were to start just bought mini needed few bit done
but have just got it started and tryed to drive off but cant get drive gears seem to be ok and clutch
also when in gear speedo moves, would it be something to do with the diff

also if so is it an engine out or can you change the gearbox etc while engine still in car

hopefully some one can help

Check the pot joints are located correctly ie.shoved in far enough.
