anything as long as ur can afford the insurance! or dont tell them........but dont crash!!!

It's always best to let them know! But if you are feeling a little bit devious!

Stick a decent cylinder head on it and maybe a K&N this will make all the difference! I know of one for sale if you are interested! Let me know!

Good brakes and tyres.

Speaking from my limited experience I can say that these should be the top of your priorities as they make more difference to your every day driving than an engine's power.

Jules your car is a 1991 Cooper isn't it? So your looking at anywhere between £30 and £40 depending on the make you want, for your 1" 3/4.

Best thing you can do is go for a modded head, nice easy bolt on power!

And also, another way to squeeze a little more is by tightening the rockers down to 10 thou instead of the specified 12 thou.

you can usually get awasy with head, cam, bottom end, but things like filter and exhaust are obvious so i would personally tell them about these
