I will just convince him to get a frogeye sprite instead. They had steelies as standard n its a shame to change them :grin:

Yea, the only thing that has put me off buying a 4.2 E-Type is the fact that I'd have to clean the wire wheelies....

Surely they will buckle the same way a bicycle wheel does! You'll be forever taking the tyres off and having them made true again! especially with all the pot-holes in the british roads!!

It'd have to live under a cover, in a specially heated garage, in a bomb-proof bunker under 300feet of granite :fear:
Back on topic,
wire wheels do need trueing up every now and then but they work on MGs and E-types ok. They would be stronger because of the small wheels on a Mini too, more metal :tongue:

Here are my multispokes for the Fiat. They're 15" and I THINK they may actually fit the mini! :gimme: But I've never got round to trying them yet! :erm: :nugget:

You can get multispokes like these relatively cheap as so many companies make them. These ones are Alessio.
