im really wanting to fit miglias to my project motor but i dont really want to go down the 13" wheel route as ive heard they dont handle as well and can smash diffs? so im fancying a set of 12"s but would this look silly with the miglia arches? im not scared of fitting wheel spacers by the way lol!

Well you can trim miglias down to whichever width you want, then fit some brackets after, so you don't need to fill the full width of the arch necessarily. What width are the wheels?

13's don't ruin the handling at all >_< if anything a low profile tyre will make for better handling rather than having a huge sidewall. And i've never heard of them being responsable for smashing diffs? i'm guessing that it's just an old wives tale from 10" purists.

Seriously, how can you say that?

Go drive a well setup Mini on tens, then put 13's on the same car, and it'll feel terrible.

13's are too much unspring weight, and generally have silly offsets which induce crazy bump steer. They're not needed. and the low profile tyres just give a horrid crashy ride!

sure, tehy CAN look cool (i personally prefer tens) but they definately don't do the handling any good at all.

a well set-up mini on 13's can be very affective!!

i ran road coil replacement suspension with gaz dampers, and i could leave 12's and 10's in my dust! flat out around tight roundabouts where great fun!!

im not saying 13's are the best because i will be going to 10's someday when i can afford it.

on the subject of the mig's, i've had to fit 1 inch spacers to the front in order to fill the migs, and thats with 13x7 superlights.

im not sure if you can get tyres wider than 6 for 12's, if not your gonna need some mega spacers!!

you could always get some banded wheels i know there not the same as alloys BUT you can have them up to 7 maybe 8 inch wide and with a set of Yoko race road legal tyres with 55 profile would look V-NICE and fill out the arches?? brad
