Mini 25 - 1984.

i have just replaced the wiper motor and bought new wiper arms and blades
now the arms sweep too far and off the edge of the screen, i just can't work out what is going on.
the arms park to the right,
should the arms be straight or slightly offset at the ends [/font]

Did you buy the wiper motor off ebay...?

There is a guy on there who sells new wiper motors for Minis, but in actual fact he is incorrect, and they are really meant for a Landrover. I have told him a couple of times via ebay, but he doesn't seem to care. The main cog inside the wiper motor has a number stamped on it for the amount of sweep in degrees.

If i'm correct in my guess, your wipers are now going right off the end of the screen. You can take the motor apart, and see the marking on the main cog. It should be 110 degrees for a mini, but the ones on ebay are 135 degree....!!!! If you still have the old motor, you should be able to swap the cog over, or you can buy a new one from Minispares....
