I've tried to search for an answer to this but no luck.

I'm going to try fitting some group 2 arches next week. I have them here and have offered them up to the bodywork.
My question is, when I re-fit the chrome sill trim do I need to cut the weld at the sill line so that the trim flows smoothly from the sill to the arch or do most people just fit the trim in three parts with a step where the arch joins the sill?
I hope this makes sense! If not I'll try to take some pics.

Cheers

Mine is fitted as just 1 continuous length, you do tend to get a nasty kink in it at the arch/sill meeting points, but it can be reduced if the trim is warm! Also the genuine Rover trim is meant to be better quality and doesn't kink as easily!

no need to cut but lots of hot water poured over it will help make it flexy
