Hi there,
Got to get a set of 3 paionts for my new bucket seats. I just wondered what the genral consencus is on the mounting point for the third strap (the one that comes over the shoulders). My mini should be on the road soon and although I still need to purchase my harnesses, I have not had a chance to have a look at other minis for reference.

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Andy

if you have (epecially) bucket seats with holes for harnesses, id recommend using 4 points and just using all 4 existing mounts. I just have classic buckets, but feel safer with 4 points as I cant help but doubt the amount of strain that one mount in the rear would take in a large impact..

Yeah, got 4 points in my Elise. If you have classic seats and are using 4 points are you running off a harness bar just behind the seats?

nope, theyre just bolted to the old rear seat belt mounts which (together) seem quite adequate for the job! If you have a cage anyway, then running a 3 point from that would be good, though the more 'points', the less strain and the safer to me!
