ive had this problem for a while now but i thought it fixed itself now its back. my headlights have stopped working, you have the switch on headlights and only the side lights work. :) im not sure what it is but the other day i went over a bump and the headlights started working again. :) but now theyve stopped.

anyone know why or what causes this?

thanks

Make sure that the connector going to the headlamp is on tight and not worn and wiggling about!

Might have fallen off completely!

right i checked the lights, the headlamp bulb in the drivers side has stopped working...

is there 3 bulbs in each headlamp?

i have sidelights, headlamp, and full beam. in other cars the full beam works off the headlamp.

anyway ive bought a headlamp bulb so ill fit in when i get the time.

thats what i thought but the odd thing is:

1 turn side lights on: they work
2 headlights on: nothing
3 full beam on: side lights, headlights and full beam?!

i dont get it. and before you ask im not counting the spots lighting up.

don't forget to check the wiring connections, inside the engine bay, there are multi connectors just underneath by the bonnet catch, if one of these has a dodgy connection or is loose, you won't have lights....

take out each cable clean and then refit........

indeed, i was driving along in traffic not so long ago and it just stopped dead, no ignition, no hazards, nothing, turned out to just be a bit of dirt on the solenoid, makes all the difference to give it a clean. Also might be worth changing your light rocker switch on the dash, because mine was playing up too, it can work one minute then not the next, might be worth having a look at that.
