is the performance affected that much, ino all about the back pressure and that but truth is i like the noise how much of a difference would it make
i have a standard 998 with stage one kit 10.1 compression and hif38 carb will the performance be that reduced??

The ideal bore of exhaust for your engine in it's current spec is about 1.75", which is a far cry from the DTM you intend to fit. Will you be fitting a hole new system or just the backbox?

sorry mate didnt mean to appear impatient, yer ive got a maniflow cooper freeflow mani with a 1.75 link pipe

Then I'd doubt you'd notice much difference at all. You might suffer a slight loss of 'get up and go' from low down in the rev range, but i'd be suprised.
Mate of mine used to have a DTM box on a 998, he kept it on for 2 weeks and then got rid of it. Too noisy, all show and no go, sounded like a big wet fart.
but it was loud.

Just get an RC40. I'm planning on getting a twin box centre exit system with the large bore pipe. Should sound lovely and it'll give good performance too!
