A guy used to run an rs turbo motor in a green mini a few years back,i have it in my head he was called Stuart Beales for some reason but i could be miles off the mark lol!

It may have also been rear engined but im clutching at straws here through my really hazy memories.

i believe allspeed engineering where fabbing up a front engine rs turbo subframe. i think it might have stalled because there are more modern, lighter and better engines out there.

if you have a CVH sized hole in the life, go for it, but you may well be making a rod for your own back. for example you can fit a gm x16xe in - its a well tried swap then turbo it if you want

as above there's better engines out there, as opposed to a cvh, why not go zetec ?

PS, it's the MANX gearbox which the older BDA, X-flow etc fitted onto which is a converted Mini gearbox.

cvh is not a gash engine take it back the cvh engine can produce anything up to 300 bhp i will for all ford enthusuasts say anyone who disrespects cvh fords and hasnt had a well prepared cvh turbo cant speak

i love the cvh easy to fix and maintain and such a good engine

fyi the cross flow head fits the mini block i was once told may have been a fib but with some fab i recon its very possible

im not gonna try hard to convince you i just think that the design and engineering behind the cvh was way before its time and that in my opinon is a very good basis for tunning and more resently the ZVH turbo engines have made 450bhp and did hold the world fastest fiesta medal

zvh is not a cvh, you cant convince someone who has learnt not just from experiance but moderating one of the largest ford sites for years, as matt woods has proved 300 can be got from a 5 port let alone a supposed modern 1600 turbo

so yes its gash
