Buy a fuel injection tank. Everything should be there that you need including a submersed pump :cheese: Otherwise I think the top is as good a place as any, though welding a fuel tank is a bit dodgey unless its been steam cleaned on the inside

Most people just fit an MPI fuel tank as it has all the bits on it you need and the diameter for the size of the fuel pipes is big enough!

I will be converting a normal tank as you can't give the pesky things away,
Where is the return situated on an MPI tank. I won't have a car to offer it up to and I want to make sure I'm not gonna put it somewhere so the tank won't fit

It is at the top. See the picture below, the flat plate on the right bolts to the tank at the top both feed and return can be seen along with the wring plug for the fuel pump. All in all a neat little package.Where is the return situated on an MPI tank. I won't have a car to offer it up to and I want to make sure I'm not gonna put it somewhere so the tank won't fit
Which tank have you got, the plain ordinary one or a fuel injected one as your statement is a little unclear

if you have a return brazed in put it in as high as possible in the tank
also bare in mind the feed has to be smaller than the return if possible
