I have a new IACV or Stepper Motor for my 1998 MPi, is changing it as easy as old one out new one in or are there any procedures to follow to reset anything with the ECU?

my first mini was an mpi and i had to replace the idle air control valve (IACV). it was just a straight swap as the ecu will not know you have changed it as long as it is a like for like swap.

I thought as much but having just changed the Throttle Body with new TP sensor which recommended 6 presses of the throttle at ignition position 2 and then 15 seconds with ignition off before starting that it may need something similar???
