Hey, i saw this picture in a threat a couple of days ago.



I noticed the number plate (T333 EJB) was obviously based on the 1964 monte winning 33 EJB. This got me thinking, how many othe mini owners have a number plate related to an iconic mini such as 33 EJB or 621 AOK? Are there any other plates that only make sence to mini enthusiasts?

I've done a seach on www.mycarcheck.com for various different plates and many *333 EJB plate are on mini's though i have very rarely seen any at shows. The only one other than mine that i've seen is R333 EJB on a red and white sportpack with a number 37 on the side that looked cool. Where are the others hiding? are there any on here?

My plate was bought for me a few xmas's ago and i think it's great (K333 EJB). I was once chased by and old man until i stopped at traffic lights, i opened my window and he just said "nice number plate" lol.

Anyway here's a picture of mine with it's plate on. I was going to put 37 on the side and also paddy hopkirks name on the back window. I emailed paddy about a year ago asking if he mided me using his name, he replied saying he'd be honered! what a top guy!

Most of the 33 EJB ones were brought by Rover, for their new minis they had brought out for photoshoots etc (or so im told, im sure the anorak or taffy will correct this if its wrong) there is a green mini with orange stripes and arches, 16v head, 1380 bore etc etc etc that was made for a customer, and their is a video of it on youtube somewhere

i did see a reg on a mini years ago that kinda spelt COOPER. i cant remember exactly what the letters/numbers were it was very close

Ours used to be registered as K2 JOB as its an Italian Job. Previous owner sold it though..
