Please give your topic a title that quickly describes your problem. Just putting 'Help my Mini doesn't work' is useless to anyone trying to help.

Model: Mayfair
Year: 1993
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):

I had the grill off earlier to try and measure out the electrics for the new front spots.
Anyway, I was tracing back wires and I noticed that one of the two that goes into the rad was broken.
As you look at it through the grill, it's the one of the right. It's green in my car.
I didn't have any chop block to hand to affect a quick dirty repair, and I've no idea how long it's been broken.

What's the wire for and what problems am I to expect??

Will fix it asap of course, but would be good to know what it's for so I know how much cable to purchase.

do you have a fan built into the near side wing as this could be one of the wires that triggers it. i'm assuming its coming from the front lower corner of the rad.

only problem you'll get is the auxillery fan wont automatically come on when the water temp gets too hot. not so bad at the mo but needs sorting before the warmer days come, trust me on that, i know :)

Cheers!

It's high on the 'fix it' list, but I just wanted to be sure it wasn't going to be something that cooked my engine over the next few days.
I hate doing 'chop block' bodges, so I'll do it properly. :)
