Hi

Can anyone please help me, have had to change the engine in my mini and we have got a 1275 Carb engine, but want to put it into a SPI min.

Is there a way to fit the flywheel sensor which should be near the starter motor?

Does that all make sense???

Thanks

You have to change the transfer housing for an injection one with the mounting holes for the sensor. you have to use the flywheel from the injection engine also. Or, not so cheap a fix, is to fit a trigger wheel onto the crank pulley and make up a bracket to mount the sensor, extend the wiring from the ECU and then correctly set up the missing tooth location on the trigger.

would be easier to change the transfer housing and flywheel
