Hi guys,

I took a vid of my mini when my 1380 engine was new a few years ago, and recently uploaded it to youtube, I've only just noticed this section of the forum, so thought I'd share a few little clips with you!

Heres the clip of when the 1380 was just run in but not setup fully at the time, running an HIF44 and stage 3 head:

This clip was taken about a month ago, sadly i didn't have time to setup a proper camera mount before locking the car away to come back to uni, so it's slightly dodgy footage, and it's misfiring due to heavy rain earlier in the day and no grille! This time running a weber 45 DCOE and a full race MED head, made 98bhp at the wheels the day before this vid:

Enjoy I'll try and setup a proper camera mount and get some decent vids over easter when I'm next home.

Cheers Joelio, I didn't realise you were around much on here! Loving your XE Vid too by the way, I wanted to make something like that, as I had planned 3 days just messing around in the Mini and getting used to it again after the rebuild, but as always, things went wrong! And we ended up finishing it just the morning I had to come back up to portsmouth!

I wouldn't normall take it out in the rain, but I was desperate to have a good drive, which didn't happen in the end afterall!

I'll be on the riv run for sure, and I'll be around in it in plymouth over the easter holidays, ironing out the little problems before the run!

how had you mounted the camera in the first vid? i'm wanting to do some good inside footage of mine and need some way of securing the camera

sounds nice! i would like a 1380 sometime but will stick to my 998 for now for low insurance as im only 16 haha

I no, the gearbox does sound fantastic! Bet its loud tho in the ears after a long drive!

Cheers guys, it's running a Jack Knight SCCR box, with Jack Knight straight cut 1:1 drop gears, the noise is fairly loud indeed! the car only ever gets used on a long run going to shows really, it's sure going to be interesting driving it to the ring and back in september!
