Okay after planning a few things we have a problem

My mini's alternator seems pretty knackered anyway, but I have two spares. Both are the later 34 Amp type I think. Even if they were 43 amps it wouldnt help much.

Just for lighting I will have over 650W of power... Thats over 50 Amp draw if all switched on.

Add to that ignition, and then I.C.E. (would like at least 300W RMS system with one sub and amp).

This brings us to over 1kW territory, and there is no way a mini will handle that..

What should I do? Should I run parallel dual batteries?

yeah u could do if u got the room? try a performance battery?

No, I am rather handy with electronics, so the electrical side of the car will be quite advanced :)

only thing i can suggest is to look for a bigger alt, you may need to make some brackets, but i'm sure you can handle that challenge.....
