Craig - absolutely nothing other than the fact that most early Metros with the right bins are now in the hands of 'collectors' (heheh) or have probably been stripped of all their innards by now... Probably still have a look though :w00t:

1984mini25 - how much? :)

THE STIG - couldnt do a set for 4" speakers could you (dont think youll have the moulds and what not but worth a go)

Good point, could do the holes myself, but I have just thought, if they're fibreglass won't they be all shiny and black? Which wouldn't fit in with the plans for my interior too well... yes? The madbikerf1 guy seems to have disappeared as well which is a bit of a shame...

Metro bins are very good in my opinion. But I think I'm right in saying that you'll need Mk 1 bins. I bought a pair of Metro Turbo pockets with built in speaker housings and they're the right size, but not all the holes line up. Then I bought a pair of Metro Mk 1 pockets and they're the same shape and size as standard Mini pockets, apart from they have a 4" speaker housing at the front. I've just finished painting them black and lining the pocket with a very thin automotive carpet (to stop any stuff rattling around). It took a while to find some speakers shallow enough to fit them without having to chop holes out of the door though. Going to be fitting them over the next few weeks.

Incidentally, the quality of the MK1 ones I'm using over the Turbo ones is sooooo much better. Probabaly something to do with Austin having more dosh in the earlier days I suppose.

I'll get some pics taken and posted if anyone's interested in what they look like.

Hear you go, as you can see I’ve chopped them about to mount a pair of 5" speakers in them (which aren’t included) as the speakers normally would be mounted from behind, but if i did it that way it would of meant cutting a hole in the door card which i didn’t want to do, so if you want to fit smaller speakers something would have to be made up.
