you'll get better throttle response (quicker accelelaration) and possibly a few more bhp , if you fit them really i'd suggest getting the car set up on a rolling road costs about 60-70 quid but worth it

I`m debating between twin 1" 1/2`s or a single 1" 3/4 for my 1293 when I build it up, which would be best do you think?

the really annoying thing is, I gave away a set a few years ago, a set of twin 1"1/2 that i had on my 1275gt, gave awy a load of other stuff too. :D
fibreglass dash, mota lita steering wheel, 7 various smiths guages, set of cobra seats. all in the days before the web :D

gutted lol with carbs depends what ur after if u want low down power and torque go for twins if u want to drive the car fast and rev past 5krp then go for the single hif 44 its the only way forward but deffo get it set up on the rollers or u can lose a potential 10 bhp

I really think you should read the question before replying.

Going on about coilovers etc isn't what the poster asked.

What actual experience have you had of the different types of carbs listed?

If you don't know don't post.

Your posts are just confusing and not helpful.
