Ive just made these up for my mini for fitting metro 4 pots, i didnt want to spend money on goodridge ones that the ends will rot on, so spent a bit of time making my own, what do you all think? Think there would be demand for them? by the way, its not only pink lol, Ive got 17 different colours of hose.

The hoses have been tested to 24,000 psi :shy: with no signs of deformation, over a sustained 3 day period.

they arent the cheapest, a standard mini disc or drum kit is £50, the MG conversion kit including rear hoses is £60.

They are the best quality available though, anyone whos had a set of the usual braided lines on for a few years will find the connectors are rusty as they are mild steel, all of the parts on these are stainless. And the hose comes in loads of different colours of PVC coating, so they are great for modified show cars.

I can do a fiesta kit if anyone wanted, all Id need is a picture of the back of the caliper, and the thread size/pitch before I make them. Can do one offs too, like front to rear hoses for running inside, clutch lines direct to master cylinder, etc.

Yes, Im not disputing the fact my product is more expensive, and have stated they are. But they do come with a lifetime gaurentee, and arent made up with zinc plated mild steel connectors like most other ones, so they will never ever rot.

The ones i have from mini spares have sat on there for 4 thousand miles in all weathers no signs of them "rotting".

Ill be honest braided are seen as the ultimate in most mini owners eyes. I guess you could get people who after something diffrent but its neice market in that sence.

I just dont see you selling them unless you drop the price some what.

I sell over 80 brake line kits per month, so its clear that people do pay the money. Theres no need to drop the price for this particular kit, IMO,as their is no competition of the same quality. Thanks anyway :D

Remember here you’re up against an established competitor who has a lower price and a product that’s more ascetically pleasing.

Good luck and all that.

Wether something is aesthetically pleasing is an individual opinion, but they do come on clear PVC coated hose too :D My brand outsold the established competitor 3-1 in the motorcycle market last year :D

Ive said it before, I do appreciate that mines are more expensive, but you wouldnt expect a stainless steel exhaust for the price of a mild steel one, its the same with these :P There will be people who have their preferences either way, and thats cool, both hose kits will do the job, but I know what ones someone would rather be showing off under their flip-front at a show. Im not really fussed about selling loads of them, minis are a pretty limited market and most of my sales are in japanese performance cars, but its nice to make some new things from time to time and offer something fresh to the market, even if only a few sell, its not going to cost me anything.
