I just managed to shear one of the wheel studs on my car. I am now looking to buy a replacement but the sizing is confusing me. The total length of the stud is 40mm, and the only one on minispares that looks like the ones on my car are these:

http://minispares.co...a...) MINI 84...

Does the 32mm size on there mean that the thread is 32mm? if thats the case, the end of it will probably be about 8mm, meaning the total length is 40mm and should be the same as on my car yes?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

You measure a stud from under the head, not the total length. The same way as for all bolts and set screws. It says in the description you have linked to how long the threaded section is and that it is measured from under the head.
