Hi, Can anyone help.
Bought an engine some time back and stripped it. I sent the rocker cover off for a re-chrome to use on my van. It came back lovely but Ive managed to lose the oil filler cap.
Problem is I cant find the right replacement.
The cap I need grips the outside of the filler neck ( bit like a rad cap) rather than the standard type that picks up on the two lugs down inside the neck, which this rocker cover doesn't have.
Ive got so many bits around the place but I think it came off a mid to late 90s engine?
Can anyone tell me what it is I need to order. it's the last job on the engine.
Thanks.

Yep it is a chrome one.
I'll get to the lock up and take a pic of the rocker cover today. I wondered if later Rover Minis had this type of cap.

No it's never been standard. Late Rover Minis had a large red cap that is NLA.

Is it this one.

I use that cap. Oddly it's cheaper than a standard plastic one which is good considering it's meant to be replaced every year.
