Hi,

I use the 1990 Astra GSI Digital dash in my Mini since 4 or 5 years.
It works fine.
Adaption of the electronic speedo signal was done by VDO.
Adjustment was quite tricky, but the guys at VDO did a good job without any complaints yet.
I fitted the dash in the back of a smoke acrylic plate, so its not visible when dash is switched off.

Regards

The one in the Miniworld was not covered, and it was a couple with the Vauxhall engine.
I use the Astra Digi dash with a A+

My Mini was also featured in the Miniworld after the win @ IMM spain.

I think we had a few pics uploaded when I entered this forum, so perhaps, use the search for finding "Bobo" threads...

Astra Digi dash is featuring oil pressure, water temp, fuel, speedo, rpm, battery plus lots of lamps for lights, flasher, and so on.
The adaption few years ago took 350Euro, but it took VDO nearly a whole day of work, because they tried to make it matching 100% to the real speed. So it was OK.
I did all the wiring by myself, and dash was fitted completely, they only did the speedo signal.

The dash can be swithes from km/h to miles/h.

was it difficult to do all the wiring? would it be possible to do everything yourself or would you recommend taking it to someone to get it done??
cheers
Dave
