Hi,
Okay my plans are to run bike carbs off a zzr600e that I have floating around on my car with 1275 head. The problem is I've been in contact with Bogg brothers and have received a very large quote to knock me up an inlet manifold.
if anyone has any other fabricators or alloy workers that would be willing or have used I'd be grateful or if anyone does it themselves?
Cheers,
Andrew.

Just get an inlet gasket and take it to a machinist and ask them to make you a flange out of 10mm ally, the source some ally tube of the right diameter and find someone to tig them together.

I was told that the bogg brothers can do you any manifold, for any car, including carbs for £250. Might be wrong though.

Three hundred quid, was for a drive in drive out conversion last year, including rr tune. There's also a guy in sheffield on ebay, who can make pretty much whatever you want.

250-300 quid. Thats crazy money. A local guy whos been helping me get my 1330 running made his own for probably 20 quid worth of material. Unfortunately I'm a kiwi so thats a long way to send a manifold. Just out of interest what carbs are you running? I'm looking a a set of 38mm Mikuni Flatslides

When it's talked about on the forums it does seem expensive, but you need to remember what is done. You drive you SU equipped mini to boggys, leave it there and they make up a manifold which maniflow would be proud to produce. Fit the bike carbs to the matching manifold so the float chambers are at the correct angle to suit the carbs you want to us. Then stick it on the rolling road and set it up, so you drive away in a mini that is a lot better performing than the one you drove there.
So if you break it down, custom manifold (which shaped to correct the flow into the cylinders not a straight bit of pipe) fifty to eighty quid if you paid someone else to make it. Set of bike carbs off ebay anything from thirty to hundred quid seen R1 carbs go for more. Fitting which includes converting from 4 carbs to 2 (not hard I know) then bolting it all to the car. Put it on the rolling road and calibrating the carbs to suit at least a hour, what do rolling roads charge per hour sixty to eighty quid. So rounding it all up it isn't that expensive at all, if you'd struggle to do the work yourself.

yeah boggs quote 250 for the work and thats setup and they spend time on your car they are not lazy, have some pride i took my 1293 there for tuning and the guy spent 3hours tuning it up took carb off cost me £100, i have to say mate you dont get things for nothing it does cost for someones skill and time thats life, but they have loads of experience in this field, you can pay £100 for a weber inlet so i dont see the problem in paying £250 you will need to provide them the carbs and your old inlet and they just fabricate from there
