Hey all
rite blew up tweety on the motorway the other day. I took the engine out and fitted a metro unit today but the engine is seized. We think its sat for while but were not too sure (was told by the scrapper it was a runner )
So were in a right pickle!!!!
what can i do to free it up guys????
ive tried puttin it into gear, clutch in and rollin it but dat didnt work!
all the starter is doin is clickin which isnt good!
any ideas!!!

If the engines been sitting outside, water can go into the carb and then into the bores.

This creates rust and can fuse the pistons to the bores. That is what happened to this 998 that I recently aquired, only in my case the engine was standing only a couple of months and the damage was minimal...

If the engine is proper seized, then there isn't much you can do. I'd go have a chat with that scrapper!

might have been a runner when it arrived at scrappy but how long had he had it for..

have you tried putting a large spanner on the bottom pulley to see if it turns that way...

also are the starter motors the same, if not you need the one from the metro..

Is the starter jus clickin because u got a bad connection on the power line somewere? Take the starter out and make sure that it works ok...

Check that you have used the correct bolts in the clutch slave cylinder.
If they are too long they lock the flywheel
