Title says it all really... has anyone got any idea's for getting them off?
There's 2 types; round & Hexagonal.

I contacted my local garage but they said they didn't hold any locking nut keys :)

All advice welcome...

lol i have the same problem, i have round ones with 3 indentations in a triangle pattern inside, I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes getting them off. considering to try bashing a socket onto one, cutting one 'square' to fit a socket, or some angry cutting/bashing! :)

they have a floating collar on mine too, so i assume that will also cause some hassle.

get a screwdriver and bend/break the floating collar off. you might be able to put a screwdriver in the indentations and knock them round with a hammer.
Failing that, you can buy a locking wheel nut remover, but i doubt their cheap!! Either way, you will need new locking nuts.

you can get sockets that are easy outs and fill fit over the outside and cut into the outer part of the nut....not cheap though about £28 a set made by clarke

If they're the ones i think they are, i think they're called trilock or something (3 pins with the spinning collar)

My locking nuts have a thread in the middle, not sure if it's LH or RH, as I've never looked, any ideas why it's there?

The long and the short of this thread is this... if you really want to do this go to Kwik Fit... they charged me £20 to remove 12 locking nuts... took them about 45 mins and was the best £20 ive spent in a long time!

glad you got it done, but if you buy the correct tools, instead of halfords cheapos you could have done it yourself. think snap-on do them, but obviously expensive.
so £20 is a good price.
Have to look after your new locking nut key!!

you need a smaller socket, they're rubbish by the way. once you get the wheel nut off it's a pain in the bum to get the nut out of the socket
