HI ALL.

i'm from Australia.

i like this forum! you guys know alot about mini's great to browse.

i'm looking at buying a sub for my traveler

i wanted it to sit under the seat, will an 8 inch fit? how do you go about it with the box ill be getting some one to fit it.

i did search the forum but cant find anything about it or if anyone has done it.

Hey mate

im from aussie to :D

im currently in the middle of doing this myself. We are making a board that sits on the little lip that just on the edge of seat. The box size that you get underneath the seats is just comfortable enough for them to perform well.

Havent got any pics at the mo but will add some if your interested

6" fit no problem, 8" would need a bespoke element making to house them I think.
I've got 4 JL W3 6" drivers under the rear seat and they work real good. :D

They will but its not easy. I've fitted two 8" subs under the rear seat, took alot of time and effort.

They sound really good but I think high quality 6" subs would be just as good and easier to fit.

what about them side metal things in a mini the side pockets in the back could you cut & fit a sub in there?

yeah 8" subs will fit, but not comphy...need to gmake an enclosure up and angle them, or buy thin subs...
