hi, i am looking at upgrading my mini security. i currently have a simple gear stick/handbrake locking device and a homemade kill switch!

i have been looking into different alarm systems. my other car (midget) has a simple two wire alarm system, that works ok, but i would like some thing a bit stronger!

my understanding is that an alarm system, is an sound warning if someone has entered your car. most have central locking kits, and shock sensors.
an immobiliser on the other hand, generally has no alarm but stops the engine being switched on.
i know that there are alarm and immobiliser packages.

i have been looking at this :) http://cgi.ebay.co.u...O...A1|240:1318
is it any good?

whats better, alarm or immobiliser

my car has been broken into once, and a £40 cd player was pinched. my logic is, it is better the cd player than my car!

any advice would be great!

That is just a 2 circuit immobiliser, if your going to do anything at all, id say fit an alarm/immobiliser.

If you get a Toad Ai606, it has the 2 circuit immobiliser in it, that will cost you around £100, and if you know anything about car electrics, its simple enough to fit
