Model: Mini City 1000e
Year:1989
Description of problem:

Ok nearly got my new loom all sorted trouble is i am unsure of what i need to do with a few extra wires!

As you can see from photo i have to sets of wires cut by previous owner now they match the wires i have on my loom as u can see the ones i am holding. Question is! What do i need to put onto the ones choppsed so they fit into black sheathed wires? Also will they be long enough to fit or would i have to refit new wires through the car os i can have that extar few inches to connect together?!

Any advice gladly taken!

Solder them together, get some connector blocks?

They should reach each other, if not, get some extra wire and extend them  .

Yer it should just be some bullet connectors or something like that.

Either, Halfords I'm sure would have them, but probably a bit expensive, any DIY store, etc, I'm sure you could find the right kind to fit :D .

If the wires do reach, then youd need something along these lines:

to plug into the connections. However, trying to crimp bullet connectors without a good bullet crimp tool might not work so well... my ratchet bullet crimper cost about £25, so you might be better off using something else.

I crimped some of them easy enough with some wire cutters, they had like a cripping bit on the end :D .

It really depends how much wire was chopped out. If you do need to splice some extra length in just strip back about an inch of insulation on the old & new wires, put the unsheathed ends together and lightly twist them to anchor them together. then seal the join with heat shrink or insulation tape. A screw terminal block would be the easiest to install.

unless there is several inches gap in between the ends of the cables then they should fit together

but then if there is several inches of gap between the ends then no type of socket will fit and you will have to extend the cables anyway
