What im trying to do is create a cd of purely massive club bangers. The sought of tunes that are spread out on a night out which are guaranteed to get people dancing.

All suggestions are welcome.

Cheers for your help

completely depends on what your into tho doesnt it?

the stuff on Black Civics suggestions is a bit hit and miss for me, but thats because im a trance and more specifically euphoric trance head. in my case the best cd's would easily be gatecrasher classics 1 + 2, forever and immortal. or a bit of slinky. mashup euphoria is a top cd as well, all the classics reinvented.

wouldnt mind a bit of hard dance either - masif hard dance anthems 1 + 2

If it doesn't include The Prodigy you're on a loser.

Seriously, what's the audience?
If this was, say, a wedding you actually want to cater for the 35-50 range.
If it's a party at your house, then cater for your own tastes with a mixture of mainstream pop.

Basically i'm fed up of buying compilation cd's with only e selction of decent songs on each disk, by the time you get to disk three its just boring stuff.

Basically on my list is quite a bit of prodigy, yes darude and adagio for strings, house of pain.

that MOS addicted to bass CD is incredible - great mix of dnb, dance, fidgety house, breakbeats and dubstep. Youre onto a winner with that CD, havent had a compilation so good since I was a kid.

P.S theres only a bout 2-3 songs that are skipworthy. It's so well done you'll just want to listen over and over again.

Cream 15 Years blows any MOS clubbers guide or compilation out of the water.

Classic after classic. Serious.
CD3 is probably the best CD out of the 3.

Tottally banging tunes. They also take me back to my late teens in the late 90's. Went on a lads holiday to Ibiza last year and my things have changed in the club world

i tried to make my ex my own compilation cd of my favourite dance anthems...i managed to cut it down to 4 cd's and couldnt anymore, i love them all. but 99% of those were from my gatecrasher collection, including crw-i feel love, pvd-for an angel, underworld-born slippy etc etc etc. if thats the kind of dance your into, i.e. euphoric trance, i would definitely get the gatecrasher selection i said in my previous post. theyre all great anthems and all really well mixed.

i also agree with cream 15 years! its great, and ive never been particularly impressed with much of what MOS do, other than their chillout classics.

also, while on this subject, can anyone remember a dragons den episode with the guy who invented software that can mix songs? he had it on a website so i think you could put whatever tracks you wanted on a cd and have them mixed into each other. that would be so very useful for compilations

p.s. does anyone regularly listen to dave pearce? ex radio 1 dance anthems, now radio 6. he's my hero :D
