I know there's some info online somewhere - probably on Turbo Minis. Looked quite easy, Ford jets tapped in to the gallery.

It's not essential unless you're running a lot of boost a high compression ratio or pistons you really shouldn't be using..

It's by no means an essential mod, but for the small cost involved it's beneficial.

Is this a simple enough task to do for a fairly novice engine builder?

it depends on how confident you feel drilling and tapping your block. i didn't fancy it but we did my mates and it turned out ok.

Could you use these on supercharged engines?

Yes, if anything it will be less of a concern as you won't be already pinching oil pressure to pump through turbo bearings.

A 3mm hole is then drilled inside the 8mm hole at the base and at an angle into the main oil gallery.

From Turbo-Mini.com

How hard is it to find the oil gallery?

Turbomini.com is Turbo-Phil.

Yer I know, I just wanted to show where it was from lol, been looking at Turbo Minis, and some good pictures up there. Its easy to use a drill, but how hard is it to get it right, and find the oil gallery?
