Hi all,

Have just recieved a Genuine Lamp Kit from Mini Sport.

In the brochure it was described as 2 x Driving & 2 x Fogs.

When they arrived the seem to be all driving lamps - all have lines running down the glass (I think Fog lamps are crystal clear glass?)

Could I use 2 of them as fog lamps and 2 of them as driving - obviously wired differently - are there any legal differences or any other reason I could not use them?

Hope I have made myself clear?!?

Thanks

Nick

Yes they are different, if any lamp had plain unfluted glass it would be a driving lamp. Fogs have a dipped pattern that projects quite sharpy down towards the road, lower then the dipped headlamps. Driving lamps have no beam pattern but most of them have some kind of lens fluting. The two lamps should have different E mark numbers if one is a fog and one a spot.
