wondering which rockers to use with the morspeed 300' sprint scatter cam.....

i have 1.5 or 1.3 roller rockers

anyone use/used this cam or similar?

to be put in a 1400/1445cc not sure whether to use the 84mm crank...dont think that will matter on rockers tho..

cheers< TOM!

my mate has is it, if its the AGSP copy? it needs 1.5:1's for best results, and a weber 45 and a big head.

Fresh from my cam swatting up:

Bore and stroke matter very much for cams. The objective is to optimise the speed of the gas going in to the inlet, especially with a long duration cam. If the gas is going fast enough (there is an upper limit thanks to sonics) then it will do a proper job of scavenging the cylinder on valve overlap because it will be at a higher pressure than the lingering exhaust fumes.

The bigger the bore in relation to the stroke the better for gas speed (the piston moves less to draw the same amount of air through the valve)

Bigger valves can lower speeds. Obviously there is a trade off as small valves will not flow the same volume of air in the time available. It explains how you can go OTT with smallbore A Series cams 'n valves.

yes its same as the agsp cam,

I shall be using a 36x31 head fully worked...

more than likely the std stroke crank, the 84 needs regrind.

with this i should use 1.5:1??

i would personally, my mates is a 37x30 full race head iirc. when it was on a 1293 with std rockers it made 105hp, now its on a 1380 with 1.5's and it goes a lot better as recommended by the chap who rollered it at aldon.

Best bet is to ask Simon at Morspeed, but I know he will say 1.5
