Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):

i am having a problem with the middle box on my standard exhaust knocking on a bolt that comes through the floor. how can provent this?

Change some bushes or mountings. The most likely candidate is the engine steady bar but it could be the engine mountings, front subframe mountings or exhaust mountings.

thanks Dan, changes all the exhaust ones today so can rule them out.

ill try the engine steady bushes next are they easy to do any speacial tools needed?

No special tools are needed for standard parts but the best bush available is the Superflex poly type which needs to be fitted using a vice or G-cramp or similar.

i just hit mine with a hammer till it cleared the bolt!!

put new engine sabiliser bushes in made n difference so went to my local mini garage he said put a washes on the inside of the car so took te seat belt out put washer on all good now
