its easy just use alloy wheel cleaner or similar degreaser spray the engine when it warm let the degreease get worked in and then pressure wash the engine bay ive never had a problem with this approach but others have i dont see why

Hiya
I use a brilliant engine cleaner/degreaser from Lidl and it's only £1.49 a can. As soon as you spray it on, the grease comes off. :closed:

Tin of gunk and a stiff brush.

It wont come up gleaming but it will remove any dirt/oil. Then a lick of paint is needed.

Paul.

i used a can of carb cleaner and some kitchen roll.

spray it on leave a few seconds then just wipe it off, it is back to yellow now and was the dirtiest engine i had ever seen.

it also saves having to use a pressure washer and gettign everythign in the engine bay soaking
