due to a bundle of fun being dropped off at the unit last week, we now have a T4 universal turbo kit.
with swapping the right bits n bobs would this be suitable for use on a 16V twink? or is it all a bit too much?

thanks

;D

that would be amazing, but it might take a while to spool, but you can stop lag cant you?

Not sure how you two guys think it would be amazing?

I'll be happy for you to tell me different, but having just looked at every compressor map I can find for a T4 I can confidently say that it would be a total pile of sh!t. Even if you could get it to spool up which is unlikely, you'd either suffer massive surge or at best run in a completly inefficient part of the map.

Bigget not always better.

Twin cam K head, the 16v twin cam motorbike head from a BMW K100RS motorbike, seems to be refered to as a Twink engine these days....

Could still be no good, there are plenty of T3s around that are simply too big.

A T04E will still be to big for a twink, i ran a T34 on mine with a .25 exhaust housing but it was still really laggy and it suffered with too much back pressure at top end because of the small housing.

Your probably best off using an Escort RS turbo T3, the slightly bigger exhaust housing will give you a little more lag but will allow you to run higher boost at top end and allow the engine to rev higher.
