at some point im going to convert the missus auto to a manual dont really want to buy a new front sub if i can i know there is a difference but what is it i also read somewhere that you can get conversion plates what are they and where can you get them i cant find anything on minisoares or minisport

A auto subframe is slightly wider. Hence you need conversion plates to take up the difference at the engine mounts, or use shims in between the subframe and mount.

This is what I used from Minisport.
It includes new engine mounts too, which you'll need anyway.

BUT... they tend to make stuff to order and they took 3 weeks to deliver, so order them early.
