Hello,

i have fitted the Spax Adjustable Coil Over Conversion Kit (not the lowered one) on my 1977 mini, but it is VERY high..

Now it is in the paintshop, and the painter told me i should ask first how do i lower them to be sure.. ( i dont mean to FULLY lower it)

here is a pic of the mini as it is now

of course , there is no engine and no other weight except from the shell.. but will the weight solve the problem?

If pics are possible it would be very helpful..

Thanks
Jack

Weight will definitely help the front. Are they fully wound down?

To adjust coilovers just use the c spanners that should have came with the kit.

The lower platform is a locking ring and the upper is the spring platform.Turn one away from the other using the c spanners to release the lower locking ring, screw it as far down the threads as you think is needed, turn the spring platform down to the top of the locking ring (might be a bit tight if the spring pressure is still on it),turn the two rings together with the c spanners to lock it in position.

Repeat on the opposite side but count the threads left visible at the bottom on the first one you do and leave the same number on the opposite wheel.
The amount of threads will more than likely be different front to rear but if you have the same on drivers and passenger side front it will be somewhere near level, same for the back.
