Hi,
I just bought a set on 7.5" discs - these discs come with wheel studs already installed to the disc. I am a bit worried as I've screwed the drive flanges to the discs and the remaining length of the wheel stud seems very short. I've compared it to the available stud length on an 8.4" disc driveflange and the studs on these are much longer (about 5mm longer).
So the question I've got is, how much stud length is necessary to hold a set of 10x6 minilites? Is it normal for these discs to be supplied with studs that are too short? Or am I just being a big girl's blouse and getting worried about nothing?
Thanks
Ben

I think the discs come with studs of the correct length for steel wheels as originally fitted to the Cooper S. So it is not uncommon for people to change the studs out for longer ones when using alloy wheels.
There are loads of different length of studs available, I think the ones I tend to use are 21A2064L from MiniSpares - please note that you will need either a deep wheel nut or on that has the threaded hole right through the nut, I use CN1 or CN2 (depending on nut seat shape required).
