Hello,
I'm a newbie from Essex whose recently bought a 1988 Mini Mayfair.
This isn't my first Mini, before I was married and had a family I had a 1982 Mini City which I had to sell to get a "sensible" car.
Anyway having been into motorbikes for a couple of years, and getting nagging from my wife to get shot of my bike, I sold it and went out the following week and bought the Mayfair.
This is now going to be my new toy and future project.
What do you think?
Cheers,
Gary

First job is to get rid of the surface rust that is beginning to show through - nothing structural just bubbly bits on the front, rear and A-panels. This I can take my time over and do it a bit at a time.
The car itself is structurally sound (I hope!) taxed and tested to next June with only 44K miles only the click. The car also some history with car with all MOT's going back 12 years to verify the mileage - that was one reason I bought, and the grin factor of course the first time I drove it
My kids love it as well - my little boy has christianed it Harry which I think suits it.
