The mini spares parcel came today as scheduled. VERY well packaged and everything spot on Will definitely be using them again!!

Bought a spot weld drill from screwfix and took all the extra off from the inner wings from the outers,

Fitted the brace bars


that around the fresh air vent was very rusty so cut it out and patched it (i wanted rid of the vents anyway). not got a pic of it welded but got this one.
Ill get a pic of the patch tomorrow.


Found more holes lower down when i had removed the a-panel.

Got the scuttle on today (thanks Aaron for the welder),



Other side had rusted higher than the panel so had to make a patch.

started to re-fit the screen to drive it home



lined the front up a bit better



and bought this 50litre 3.5hp petrol clarke compressor

Looks good. How hard did you find it to change to the clubby front then I wouldnt mind doing that sometime.

its just the same as doing a removable roundnose front, pretty easy really.

YAY not long to IMM now!

Well got the mini back to mine (bodged some indicators on and made it legal) then drove it home.

Started to take it apart again getting ready for paint.

Grille off and everything else.

Ordered the paint, Primer, thinners, silver basecoat and candy apple red

The dog was also sat watching me sand.







Any opportunity she gets she sits in the mini lol
