Today i receaved my alloy superfin drum brakes with a built in spacer, but when i fit the drum the skrew that holds the wheel is to short, do i have to buy new loger ones?
Where can i get this the cheapest?
Can maybe anyone post a link that show me what i need?
Best regards Mikael

If you just want the phillips head screw to hold the hub on, the mini spares part number is
CMZ 422
Just bought some and they fit my super minifins fine.

Been a long time since I changed the wheel studs - does the hub need to come off?

I am just looking in to this. Mine is a 1979 so the rear drums have no spacer. Am i right in thinking it is a case of buying 2 new drums with spacers, 2 x longer drum screws per side and 4 x longer wheel studs per side then its just a simple swap over?

yes you might need longer studs depending on what type of wheels/nuts you are fitting.
You can manage without the screw which holds the drum on also, when the wheel is in place and the brakes are adjusted up, the drum cannot come off.

is your mini a pre 1984 car? mine was, so originally didn't have the spacer, if you check out some spare kits on mini sports you will see which studs you need

cheers guys all sorted now, for spacered drums you need 4x drum screws. 2 for each side and 8x wheel studs. 4 for each side

Woe, woe woe! You do not need 4 infact you dont need any! There is only one hole in each hub but there are two holes in each drum for the said screws.
In my experience if you do not make a habit of reomving your drums on a regular basis these srews can seize in place either invest in some copper slip or like most just dont fit them. The wheel is what keeps the drum in place not these poxy screws.
Who told you you needed 4?
